A few features make your bike 100% secure, not matter what size bump you may drive over.
First, the rubber coated tube that holds the crank is slanted 5˚ to isolate any vertical movement of your car from your bicycle.
Second, since the wheel is secured into the wheel holder, the crank cannot move vertically as the bike would have to travel in an arc motion, pivoting on the front wheel. Since the crank tube is perpendicular to the wheel holder, the crank cannot move vertically in the crank holder.
Last, your automobile suspension keeps most of the vibration from reaching your bicycle.
